Academix has no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics. Everything you type lives on your device. The one exception is purchase information, which Apple processes and reports to us only as anonymous totals.
Your courses, timetable, tasks, deadlines, reading progress, grades, weightings, GPA settings, reminder preferences and app settings are stored only in Academix’s local storage on your device. We cannot see this data, and it is never uploaded to us. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it, so export or back it up first if you want to keep it. If you use iCloud device backup, your Academix data may be included in that backup — that backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, calendar, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics or crash telemetry. Academix contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or attribution SDKs. We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not hold any.
Academix Premium is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Your payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. Your purchase receipt is validated on your device so the app knows Premium is unlocked.
Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymous sales reports — units sold, refunds, country and revenue totals — which we use for statistical and accounting purposes only. These reports do not identify individual buyers, and we do not attempt to link them to any person or device. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Class, deadline and term reminders are scheduled locally by your device. There are no push notifications from a server, so no notification token or device address is sent to us. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
When you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, and we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to help you. Please don’t include anything sensitive you wouldn’t want in an email. If you join the launch waitlist on this site, your email address is used once, to tell you the app is out, and is then deleted.
Academix is designed for students, including school-age users. Because the app collects no personal data and requires no account, there is nothing for us to gather from a child or anyone else. We do not knowingly hold personal information about any user.
You are in full control of your data at all times: it is on your device, and deleting an entry or the app removes it. Because we hold no personal data about you, requests to access, correct, export or erase data can be satisfied by you directly in the app. If you still have a question about your rights, write to us.
If Academix ever changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if optional sync were added — we will update this page and the effective date above, and the change will be described in the app’s release notes. New data practices will always be opt-in.
